Pharmacological properties

Active ingredients of the drug have a stimulating effect on metabolic processes (protein, carbohydrate, fat metabolism), increase the body's resistance to adverse factors, promote the growth and development of animals.

Butaphosphan is an organic phosphorus compound. It affects body assimilation processes, stimulates protein synthesis, accelerates the growth and development of animals, significantly improves liver function, increases body non-specific resistance, promotes bone formation. Butaphosphan does not accumulate in the body and does not give side effects characteristic of stimulants and inorganic phosphorus. It is important to note that in stressful situations, butaphosphane normalizes the level of the stress hormone - cortisol, thereby improving the utilization of glucose in the blood and activating energy metabolism.

Vitamin B12 activates hematopoiesis, nucleic acid synthesis, restores the level of suppressor lymphocytes, participates in methionine synthesis, promotes glycogen synthesis, mobilizes energy reserves required for formation of deoxyribose and DNA synthesis.

Succinic acid is a universal biogenic stimulator of cell metabolism, a natural endogenous substrate of redox processes (Krebs cycle) in living organisms. Unlike other substrates of the Krebs cycle, requiring further chemical transformations to produce energy, succinic acid is oxidized directly without further transformations. As a result, energy-dependent biosynthesis processes are activated. Succinic acid is able to increase the activity of the enzyme succinate dehydrogenase 2-7 times under hypoxia, which significantly increases energy formation as ATP.

Succinates act as adaptogens and actoprotectors, and in the presence of pathological manifestations show an unusually high therapeutic effect for adaptogens.

Administration

Tonic that stimulates the metabolism of animals for:

- metabolic disorders caused by poor feeding, unsatisfactory maintenance or various diseases;

- disorders of feeding, development and diseases in the rearing of young animals;

- tetanic syndrome and paresis;

- weakened condition in animals;

- secondary anemia, anemia accompanying helminthiasis.

The drug is also administered to increase the body's resistance, accelerate and reduce the molting process in birds, cannibalism, increase muscle activity in healthy animals.

Dosage

It is administered intravenously, intramuscularly and subcutaneously or with drinking water (poultry). Doses of the drug (per animal, ml):

horses, cattle - 10.0-25.0;

colts, calves - 5.0-12.0;

sheep, goats - 2.5-8.0;

lambs - 1.5-2.5;

swine - 2.5-10.0;

piglets - 1.0-2.5;

dogs - 0.5-5.0.

The drug is added to drinking water for poultry in the following doses:

hens, chickens - 1.0-1.5 ml per 1 l of water;

broiler chickens, laying hens - 2.0-3.0 ml per 1 l of water.

At a chronic course of a disease apply half of the above-stated dose.

The course of drug treatment is 4-5 days, if necessary, the course is repeated in 5-14 days.

Contraindications

None.

Precautions

The drug is compatible with other veterinary drugs and feed additives.

Products from farm animals and poultry after drug application can be used for food purposes without restrictions.

Packaging

Dark glass or polymer vials closed with rubber stoppers and aluminum caps, 100 ml.

Storage

Store in a dry, dark place out of the reach of children, apart from feeds and food products at 5-30 °С.

Shelf life - 2 years.

Use the drug within 28 days following the initial withdrawal from the vial provided it is stored in a dry, dark place at 2-8  С.
