    Pharmacological properties

    ATC vet QP52A - anthehelmintics, antitrematodics, antinematodics and anticestodals.

    Prafen® Plus has a complex anthelmintic effect on nematodes and cestodes of carnivores. Praziquantel, a drug component, causes the death of cestode genera Alveococcus, Echinococcus, Dipylidium, Taenia, Multiceps, Mesocestoides. Fenbendazole causes death of nematode genera Tohosara, Toxascaris, Uncinaria, Ancylostoma, Trichuiris, and also increases the effect of praziquantel for cestode. Concomitant effects of praziquantel and fenbendazole have an anthelmintic effect on the vast majority of worms that are parasitic in carnivores.

    Administration

    Therapeutic and prophylactic deworming of dogs and cats with nematodes and cestodes: Toxocara canis, T. leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum, Dipylidium caninum, Diphyllobothrium spp., Taenia pisiformis, T. hydatigena, Echinococcus granulosus, Alveococcus multilocularis, Multiceps multiceps, M. serialis.

    Blisters, and plastic or glass jars, vials of 1, 4, 6, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 tablets.

    Storage

    Store in original packaging in a dry, dark place out of the reach of children and animals at 0-25 °C.
